This is the face of a woman regretting her choices.
(Actually it's a photo I didn't mean to take, while I was squinting blindly down at my phone wondering (again) where the camera is).
But seriously.
WHO DECIDED CHANGING MY ARTIST NAME WAS A GOOD IDEA?!?!!.
Oh yes, we've been through that before. It was me.
I'm far enough down the track now that I can't really turn back. New branding, new website domain, new album covers for all the old tracks. New profile picture (see previous blog post for the fun that was). But that was peanuts really compared to the really meaty part of this process - which is taking down all the material I released as Tangled from stores, re-branding it and getting it re-released under my new (old/actual) name.
It would be funny, if it weren't so painful, that it's necessary for me to prove my right to the material despite being listed as the <everything> on all the tracks (composer, producer, performer, lyricist etc.). However in one sense I'm grateful - because the diligence the publishing platforms are showing is what protects us all from having any random person claim our stuff (AI aside, that is … but I don't want to talk about AI today).
Anyway onward and upward. And to be honest, I'm kind of enjoying this bit of quiet - I know I'm talking to a void here, because not many people know about this. No-one of their own volition is coming here and reading this blog. It's like a little diary for the minute, that I'll share later. Hahahah, and still probably no-one of their own volition will spend their previous time reading my whining and complaining! But if you did, thanks for listening - hopefully by the time you see this, it's because I'm done!
